Legal information for howmanyof.com: who publishes the converters, where the pages are hosted, and the terms for using and reusing them.

Radif Partners selects the conversion factors, writes the explanations and publishes them in twelve languages. It is answerable for every figure and every table on HowManyOf.
2. Hosting

The HTML files of the site are kept in a GitHub repository, and GitHub Pages serves them over HTTPS under the howmanyof.com domain. GitHub plays no editorial role.
3. Intellectual Property
The explanatory texts, the layout of the reference tables, the translations, the page design and the scripts of howmanyof.com are the work of Radif Partners and protected by copyright. Conversion factors, on the other hand, are fixed by international agreement and belong to no one: 2.54 or 0.45359237 can be used by anybody.
Quoting a sentence or a row of a table with a link back to the page is welcome. Reproducing whole pages, translations or the converter script on another site needs the publisher's written agreement.
4. Personal Data and Cookies
The converters send nothing: the values you type are processed by your browser and kept nowhere.
HowManyOf measures its audience with Google Analytics, which sets the cookies _ga and
_ga_296FFM8C0G (13 months at most, no advertising; provider Google Ireland Limited; legal
basis: legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Page stability is checked with Microsoft Clarity in
cookieless mode, with page content masked. You can object by blocking cookies in your browser or with
the Google Analytics opt-out add-on;

5. Terms of Use
There is no fee and nothing to sign up for. GitHub's servers occasionally fail, and pages are swapped whenever a new version is published, so uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. The converters are there to convert units; any unlawful use is excluded.
6. Precision and Liability
Results are rounded for display, usually to two decimals, and a few factors are themselves rounded in the converter (the US gallon, the US cup, the ounce). For everyday use the gap is invisible; where it matters, work from the exact definitions listed on the about page.
Radif Partners accepts no liability for losses arising from the use of a conversion result, from an error on a page, or from the site being unavailable.
For medication doses, engineering tolerances or trade measurements, check the figure against NIST or BIPM publications, or ask someone qualified in the field.
7. External Links
Explanatory pages link to reference bodies such as NIST and the BIPM. Those sites are independent: a link is a citation, not a partnership, and their content remains their owners' responsibility.
8. Governing Law
The law of France governs this notice. Any dispute is first to be settled amicably and, if that fails, brought before the competent courts in France. A clause held invalid leaves the others in force.
